Mehendi (Henna Ceremony)

After the Haldi, we’ll transition into the Mehendi ceremony, where intricate henna designs are applied to the bride’s hands and feet. Henna, known as Mehendi in India, is a temporary natural dye that leaves beautiful, dark patterns on the skin.

The bride’s Mehendi is often personalized, with symbols of love, good luck, and sometimes even the groom’s name hidden within the design. Female guests are invited to join in by having their own hands adorned with Mehendi, making it a fun and creative experience for everyone!

Traditionally, the darker the Mehendi stain, the deeper the love between the couple—so we’ll be hoping for the deepest shades of henna as we prepare for the big day.

What to wear:
Guests can wear colorful and festive attire for the Mehendi ceremony. Since this event is more relaxed, feel free to dress in traditional Indian wear like kurtas, sarees, or anything comfortable and vibrant.
